Tre Designs is ecstatic to share the design process and stunning transformation of our client's unfinished basement into a family retreat at The Warrington House. After previously assisting her in adding the finishing touches to various rooms throughout her home, our client returned to us for help with her spacious basement, which covers the entire footprint of the house. We carefully planned the layout to accommodate all her needs, creating a harmonious blend of functionality and style.
When we first toured the space, we immediately saw its immense potential. After discussing with our clients, we uncovered their vision for the basement: a versatile area for entertaining kids, family, and friends, a sleepover destination for their growing children, a workout space, and a comfortable guest suite for visitors. Additionally, they wanted a convenient spot to prepare snacks for game nights and movie nights.
After completing a site survey, we returned to the office and got to work. We input the measurements to create the client’s base plan and began space planning to determine the optimal layout for each area. Our goal was to ensure the design met all the client’s needs without sacrificing functionality. After some adjustments and refinements, we finalized the perfect layout that balanced every element seamlessly.

Our clients were thrilled with the space plan! They promptly contacted their contractor, and we then provided the construction plan, lighting plan, and electrical layouts. We also designed a custom fireplace area for the contractor to build, and we remained available to assist the client with any questions throughout the process.
Once construction was underway, we checked in to see how everything was coming along The client, taking an active role in the process, occasionally chose readily available items, making thoughtful adjustments to our original selections. Although they managed the project independently, they regularly reached out for our input to ensure their choices aligned beautifully with the overall design.
We then assisted in selecting furnishings and artwork for the game area, living room, and guest suite. We were particularly excited about the artwork, as our clients have a deep love for all Philly sports. To incorporate this passion in a thoughtful way, we created a gallery wall featuring black-and-white photographs of stadiums and sports memorabilia, adding a unique and personal touch to the space.
